Reading the news

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21601045/

I haven't had a chance to read the full article- damn that day job of mine...But I will soon, and I'll be back to rant about it.

OOOOKAY! So I read the article. Holy shit. My first reaction was that I'm glad I live in the US, but I keep on reading, and it's not like the poor girl lived in a grass hut in the middle of no-where. She was a freakin' law-student!!! So clearly, she's educated and living in a civilized place. WHY is it necessary to cause someone's death because of this??

First of all- it's sooo hypocritical. Second, if the mother dies, it's not like the fetus is going to survive. And it doesn't sound like the woman was like, "Oh shit! I'm pregnant- gotta get rid of it!" That's really all I can say on it at the moment- it's so frustrating to think that people are OK with this.

That article about Nicaragua INFURIATED me. I'd post more about politics, but certain things get me so mad I can't write coherently. It's much more suited to passionate conversation than blog posting.

And sorry about your power- that sucks.
