So we got our proofs back from our photographer last weekend. We're incredibly disappointed- the quality of work that was shown to us far exceeds the product we received. It's upsetting and really pisses me off.
Adam emailed them last Sunday, the day after we got the proofs. They replied back with some comments about the photos not being edited yet. He replied back to that stating that the problems weren't with the editing of the photos. It's the framing, content, and exposure. It's the fact that the photographer apparently doesn't know how to shoot with a rapid fire and get multiple shots of the same scene. It's that 1/2 the pictures are NON EXISTENT.
Their response?
"You have over 1200 images from your wedding day. We do not expect you to love or even like EVERY image from the wedding, but after reviewing these images with the photography director we came to the evaluation that these images are a wonderful collection of wedding pictures and reflect a very skilled and professional photographer."
(There was more to the response, but that's a C&P of what they sent us.)
Here's my problem. This isn't the photography director's wedding. The photography director isn't missing 1/2 the shots they were expecting. The photography director isn't missing even just a shot of her hugging her mother after the ceremony. Or pictures of the parents during the ceremony.
Ugh. I could go on for hours about how disappointed I am, but you'd just fall asleep.
So since we got back such a crappy response, I spent two hours drafting an email to them, and sent it from my account. This was early Thursday morning. We still haven't heard back from them. Not even acknowlegment of the email.
I did suggest that they offer up some samples of what edited photos would look like since they think editing will fix all. (Yeah, right guys...)So the optimist in me is hoping that they haven't responded back because they're busily working on those photos.
Maybe they didn't read the email because of the email address it was sent from? Who knows. I'm going to have Adam resend it from his email. I'm not quite sure what to do if we don't hear anything else from them though...
But without further ado, you can check out my married bio to see some photos of the wedding. I was going to upload a few here, but the uploader isn't working right now.
