Chicago this weekend was a rather unsucessful trip, but I got to see a bunch of friends so that made me happy. I didn't realize how much I missed them! Unfortunately, I still haven't ordered a dress, and we accomplished nothing relating to wedding planning. Grrrr....
Last night, we went and checked out a house we've had our eye on. http://www.sibcycline.com/viewlisting.asp?mls=1066355&b=CIN&p=RESI&s=SFRD&m=1&sender=SearchResults
This house was quite a disappointment. They're asking $115K for this sucker, and I would offer MAYBE $45K... it needs THAT much work. New roof, completely new kitchen, bathroom, 1/2 bath, A/C, etc.. The list is much longer than we'd like it to be. So even though I've still got day dreams in my head of playing in the yard with a puppy, and sitting around the fire pit with friends, we're going to keep looking.
The best part of the house was that in the basement, there were doors closing off the area under the porch. On one side, the "door" was a fake fireplace on a fake brick wall. Very interesting. On the other side, under the porch, was the remains of a freakin' pot farm!!!!! I almost died laughing, thinking, "Well that explains the hidden door!" I'm curious as to why they wouldn't clean that up before showing the house... but maybe I'm being too harsh. Ahhh, well.
Today- today is gray and rainy and fits the mood I'm in. I think I need Skyline for lunch. It's become comfort food.
